Distribution

The distribution

Sustainable partners

Once our articles are made in our partner workshops, it is thanks to our network of 1000 retailers and our e-commerce site that they reach your hands.

Sustainable packaging

As part of our responsible purchasing policyAs part of our responsible purchasing policy, all of our paper bags and receipts are now supplied only by FSC® certified partners: a label issued by the Forest Stewardship Council, an international non-profit organization created in 1993 and dedicated to promoting responsible forest management worldwide.

We are also registered with CITEO (REP number: FR247396_01LIIT) for the collection and processing of all our packaging, as required by the new AGEC law (Anti-Waste and Circular Economy, see box below).

Low carbon delivery

To limit the number of kilometers our products travel to reach you, the packages are systematically sent by the retailer closest to the customer. In France, our parcels are delivered by carriers such as La Poste, DHL or DPD, recognized for their ambitious approach to carbon neutrality. Indeed, thanks to their electric vehicles and their commitment to carbon offsetting, we have reached the carbon neutrality for the majority of LANCASTER parcels sent in 2021.

Ethics

The integration of an ethics charter in all our distribution contracts guarantees the respect of human rights and working conditions throughout our value chain.

Towards a circular model

Since January 1, 2022, the anti-waste law for a circular economy (AGEC) prohibits the destruction of non-food products (which themselves have been concerned for some years). This concerns all fashion items! This measure, a world first, aims at the transition from a linear economic model "make, consume, throw away" to a circular model. More info.
On our side, we implement all the necessary solutions to avoid unsold items, including private sales to our dear team!
